The whole purpose of our client plans is preventative care, so we hope to prevent anything from happening. However, in the case your website gets rolled into the ER, we will be there right by it’s side communicating with the web hosting on your behalf. We cannot promise your website will not be hacked but can promise we will do everything in our power to prevent it, as well as assist in the restoration and cleanup of the website with one of our backups or in the worst case scenario we will re-build the entire website.
We require all support questions and notifications to be sent via email. This allows us to track requests and have a record of specific issues. If the issue is too complicated to explain via email or if you prefer to talk on the phone then simply contact us via email to let us know the very basics and we will schedule a time to give you a call. This helps us protect our other projects and clients and allows us to be ready to take detailed notes so your issue can be addressed properly.
We offer one-month free support to every website we build in case there is even an issue related to the building of the site. After a month we only support sites that are on a care plan and do not offer hourly request based support. Our passion is providing exceptional quality work and we are committed to this idea. Unfortunately, high-quality websites need regular work in order to keep this standard and since high quality is the standard we hold ourselves to we only accept support requests to websites that are maintained by us on a monthly basis.
However, because we value past clients you can still contact us if you have an issue and we will do our best to offer advice, send links to resources to help you do something yourself, or we will point you to service providers that do offer one-time support options.
If you choose to not go on a care plan we highly recommendchoosing a “Managed Web Hosting Provider” such as wp-engine. Managed Web hosts take more responsibility for your site and offer a higher level of tech support than “Shared Hosting Providers”. A Managed Host will also provide a free back-up service as part of their plan.
Absolutely. We are laser focused on you and your website, so we would be sad to see you go but we know that financial needs weight on many decisions and don’t want lock anyone in. We simply just need 3 weeks notice.
All packages include full backups i.e. WordPress files + WordPress database. We take daily backups using two different methods in case one method fails.
Please note: we keep multiple redundant copies of backups for at least a month on at least 2x separate server locations across the world to ensure your data is as safe as possible. Having said this, we do not guarantee our backup service and offer it as a best effort service, but we do make redundant efforts to keep your data safe and sound.
Absolutely, you can add pages, posts, products etc. to your heart’s content. However if are under a care plan then your account will be restricted so you can only access areas of the site that are generally safe for you to do yourself.
At this time, we do not. Our support hours are 9 AM – 5 PM Eastern Time, Monday through Friday.
